Overview

The Business Analyst with Project Management Responsibilities bridges the gap between business strategy and technology by leading and managing data projects, analyzing and improving business systems, and ensuring that business processes are optimized. This role aims to meet stakeholders' requirements and facilitate data-driven decisions through effective communication, collaboration, and training.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

  • Lead and manage data projects include project scoping, process mapping, liaising with stakeholders, making sure milestones are met, testing and rollout plans.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define user requirements and translate into project requirements.

  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness when identifying and defining requirements.

  • Take on project management responsibilities as needed, including planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure timely and successful completion.

  • Organize and participate in requirements meetings.

  • Give presentations to user groups on content, philosophy, design and roll-out plans.

  • Prepares project charter to align with objectives, including method, design, timing, requirements, and cost estimates.

  • Analyze current business processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Develop functional requirements and design solutions to enhance business processes.

  • Validate the functionality of designed solutions against original requirements.

  • Actively participate in and influence discussions around reporting requirements, infrastructure needs, and design.

  • Collaborate with training teams to support training programs and user training.

  • Communicate with the end user groups to obtain feedback on deliverables and understand downstream use.

  • Create, maintain and follow documented business processes and procedures.

  • Meet deadlines and complete administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, policy acknowledgements, etc. in a timely manner

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field desired.

  • 5+ years’ experience in reporting and/or analysis.

  • Proven ability to analyze data from different sources and present findings, analysis and recommendations.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; including business process and data analytics.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with special emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

  • Good understanding of SQL and relational database applications.

  • Proficiency in process mapping, system and data flow diagrams.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed; willingness to take complete responsibility over specific activities.

  • Process oriented with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong Project Management Experience.

  • Availability and willingness to travel on company business as required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry.

  • Experience with end user SAP Business Objects, R-Studio and Qlik.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM.
