OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer III to develop and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experienced individual, skilled in precision sheet metal fabrication

• Designing and optimizing sheet metal fabrication processes to achieve superior precision and product quality

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, production, and quality control.

• Developing and implementing innovative manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs

• Conducting thorough analyses of sheet metal designs, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing solutions to enhance manufacturability

• Leading continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, increase throughput, and maintain a competitive edge in the industryDevelop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify potential areas of improvement

• Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, and project management

• Prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members

• Perform research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment

• Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members, and evaluating results

• Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas

• Devise new solutions to existing manufacturing problems

• Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, safety, improved efficiency, and training opportunities

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years’ experience in a precision sheet metal fabrication environment

• Capable of reading and understanding blueprint drawings

• Handles fast-paced work environment

• Proven experience in precision sheet metal manufacturing, including deep knowledge of forming, punching, cutting, bending, and welding processes

• CNC programming of flat blanks in punch, laser, and combo machines

• Skilled in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) for designing and simulating sheet metal components and processes

• Skilled in ERP systems and building process routings and bill of materials

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges

• Familiar with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
