Title: Regional Manager Technical Solutions

Location: REMOTE (Mid-West/Great Lakes, East Coast, or West Coast)

Schedule: M-F Full Time

Type: Direct Hire

Responsibilities:

This position will work with the Global Sales Director to identify, develop, implement, and review company LP sales and marketing strategy in accordance with Business Unit Process Technology objectives and ensure the achievement of budgeted sales and profit margins in North America for the applicable range of products and services. This position will work closely with departments spanning across Sales, Technical, Product Management, Marketing, Distribution and Regulatory.

Team Management:

  • Lead the Process Technology sales team in North America (USA & Canada).

  • Set individual goals and budgets for team members.

  • Conduct territory reviews to ensure effective coverage.

  • Ensure completion of call reports and efficient customer trip planning.

  • Utilize and recommend second-level experts to support the sales team.

  • Mentor and support the sales team to achieve business results.

  • Secure and further grow additives core businesses in North America in the Decorative Laminates, Wood Based Panels, Engineered Wood, and Paper manufacturing industries.

  • Ensure the team supports growth initiatives in North America, such as additives for manufacturing of abrasives, AAC, and non-wovens.

  • Handle general management tasks, including performance reviews, and monitor/approve leave and expenses.

  • Collaborate in a matrix organization internally and when dealing with Global Key Accounts externally.

    Direct Sales Responsibility:

  • Manage select key accounts across North America with an approximate territory value of $5MM annually.

  • Establish and develop relationships with existing and potential customers through proactive sales and marketing activities.

  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities to maintain and grow the product portfolio.

  • Aim to grow Process Technology sales in North America by a CAGR of 16%, supporting company corporate growth initiative.

  • Allocate customers by region and individually to all sales resources, including direct reports, shared resources across business units, distributors, and personal management.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is strongly preferred

  • Experience in either the manufacture of Decorative Laminates, Wood based panels, Engineered Wood, Paper, or the use of chemical additives in those industries.

  • 15+ years of Sales & Marketing experience in the chemical industry with a minimum of 5 years in a Senior Sales position.

  • Advanced knowledge of relevant target markets including but not limited to Decorative Laminates, Wood based panels or Paper based products.

  • Proficiency in Team-Based Selling, encompassing Sales, Technical, and Product Management collaboration.

  • Travel 60% in the field (3 out of 5 days in home office, up to two weeks a month overnight travel)
