Description

We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you'll be tasked with managing job and unit costing on projects, preparing monthly contract and time & material billings, and conducting month-end analysis. You'll also be expected to assist with collections and prepare journal entries.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee job and unit costing for various projects

• Prepare and manage monthly contract and time & material billings

• Conduct comprehensive month-end analysis

• Assist with the management of collections

• Prepare journal entries as needed

• Import project budgets into our accounting software

• Manage the scanning and filing of important documents

• Engage in lien preparation

• Utilize your solid accounting knowledge to solve problems and analyze data

• Communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficient in Job Cost and Cost-Job skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred

• Previous experience in a senior accountant role is a plus

• Experience with financial reporting and tax filings

• Must have the legal right to work in the specified location.
