Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an industrious Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for all preventative and emergency maintenance on equipment used for processing corn into corn syrup and cornmeal. In addition, you will perform routine greasing on equipment, frequent pump and conveyor repair and maintenance including changing seals, valves, and piping. Also, motor alignments, bearing maintenance, changing fluids, and swapping gear boxes will be part of your duties. You will have the flexibility to choose your 4-day work week either from Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, with a day shift schedule from 7:30AM to 5:30PM. You will also participate in an on-call rotation during weekends. If you go in on-call, you will be paid a minimum of 4 hours even if you only work around an hour. Plus, you will be automatically paid for 5 hours of overtime for being on call, even if you don't get called in.

Job Description

Work Environment

The work environment is a processing building which can be loud and hot. The position will require working in all areas of the building including some outdoor work. Major projects are generally carried out with one other team member, but most preventative maintenance tasks are done independently
