JOB SUMMARY 

The Buyer - Fabrication will take on an intermediate role, managing more complex purchasing tasks while driving procurement efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in strengthening customer satisfaction by optimizing supply chain performance. Utilizing data and analytics to inform procurement decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ensuring adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and best practices. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage day-to-day purchasing operations, including supplier relationship management, creating and issuing purchase orders, and coordinating inventory transfers. 

  • Assigned categories include but are not limited to proprietary fabricated equipment and complex third party build to order equipment.

  • Ensure that purchased goods are within budget and delivered on schedule, working closely with suppliers to track and expedite orders. 

  • Collaborate with Logistics to ensure timely delivery to regional and global customers. 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of supply chain optimization initiatives. 

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety standards across all purchasing functions. 

  • Take on additional duties as required to support operational needs. 

     

    QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS 

  • Associate degree OR minimum 3-6 Years related experience 

  • Have a proactive approach, a resourceful mindset, and an eye for detail in managing tasks. 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors. 

  • Purchasing various third-party product categories and equipment as required. 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel and Power BI) for reporting and analysis. 

  • Solid experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One or similar) is strongly preferred. 

  • Strong self-management skills, capable of taking initiative and driving projects forward while working in a matrixed environment. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly to all levels of the organization. 

  • Strong commitment to high integrity and ethical practices. 

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teams across multiple geographies, with sensitivity to global cultural differences.
