Position Summary

As the senior content marketing strategist, your key responsibility will be maintaining a strategic direction in each content piece, whether the website, blogs, infographics or videos, to strengthen our brand’s voice. You will also determine the best content formats to ensure high customer engagement while generating leads to attract potential prospects. You’ll take responsibility for the entire content development process, including directing individual content writers and freelancers and contributing your own original content, either independently or in conjunction with a subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will be a perpetually inquisitive thinker who delights in getting to the heart of a problem or idea and translating it into language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a content strategy, informed by audience segmentation, journey stage and readiness, that aligns with our organization’s goals.

  • Partner with campaign managers, digital marketing and geo marketing leads to prioritize, plan, deliver, promote and maintain global content for multiple channels and audiences across all phases of the marketing funnel.

  • Ensure content plan and individual content pieces ladder up to the key strategic imperatives and have measurable impact on the business

  • Work with geo marketing teams to select and optimize the distribution of content so that the right content is served to the right audience at the right time in their journey.

  • Creating a comprehensive content calendar to collaborate with cross-functional teams and align marketing campaigns.

  • Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness and results of marketing campaigns and recommending ways to improve future content performance.

  • Creating and managing relationships with external content creators and influencers.

  • Working with the legal and compliance team to ensure the content complies with content governance guidelines and policies.

  • Routinely auditing, analyzing and managing all content assets for adherence to brand voice, targeted outcomes and ongoing maintenance – what stays, what is updated and what goes.

  • Owning the content strategy for a website and managing the entire content creation process from ideation to publication.

  • Identifying trends, content gaps and target audience preferences.

  • Ensuring and managing the delivery of content creation for different platforms and distribution across multiple platforms and channels.

  • Developing and studying essential KPIs and metrics of content performance by working collaboratively with the data and analytics team.

  • Guiding the content production team for SEO optimization, video editing and graphic design to make it user and search-engine friendly.

  • Staying updated with the industry trends and algorithm changes affecting content and marketing directly or indirectly.

  • Report regularly on content effectiveness, learnings and optimization as well as forward looking content plans.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience with content creation, strategy building and content marketing, with experience in cyber security preferred.

  • Ability to connect data and insights to develop an actionable content strategy.

  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management systems (DAMS).

  • Working knowledge of search engine marketing (SEM).

  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent planning and management skills to oversee multiple content campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good understanding of user behavior and user experience design.

  • Familiarity with email marketing and social media marketing campaigns.

  • Knowledge of best practices used to enhance user experience (UX).

  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and keyword research.

  • Ability to work with customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation software.

Reporting Relationships

This position will report to the Head of Brand, Content and Communications.

The base salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $125,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and years of experience. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
