Summary of Position

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Exercise Facilitator to become an integral part of our team within the Cyber Ranges business unit. In this role, the Exercise Facilitator will be at the forefront of creating and delivering cutting-edge cyber crisis simulation exercises, catering to both tactical and executive-level audiences. These exercises are designed to enhance the cybersecurity readiness and response capabilities of public and enterprise organizations across various critical industry sectors on a global scale. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in creating and delivering immersive and impactful training experiences that address the ever-evolving challenges in the cybersecurity landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver industry-leading, immersive cyber simulation exercises tailored for executive leadership teams of public and global enterprise organizations.

  • Utilize advanced audio/visual technologies to enhance engagement and drive impactful discussions during exercises.

  • Develop detailed storyboards that address key cybersecurity topics, leveraging personal industry expertise to facilitate meaningful conversations.

  • Craft compelling content using multimedia elements such as videos, images, lighting effects, and sound to create an engaging experience.

  • Conduct pre-event risk assessments and requirements analysis to ensure successful exercise planning and execution.

  • Align exercises with customer objectives by translating their goals into actionable and measurable outcomes.

  • Collaborate with clients to develop a comprehensive master event schedule for seamless execution.

  • Facilitate post-exercise After Action Reviews, providing participants with valuable insights and feedback.

  • Prepare and deliver a detailed Executive Summary Report, offering observations and a strategic roadmap to enhance organizational cyber maturity.

  • Lead efforts to drive continuous improvement in all aspects of exercise planning, delivery, and evaluation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Over 6 years of professional experience in the cybersecurity industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of cyber risk and mitigation strategies.

  • At least 5 years of experience delivering high-impact tabletop or simulation exercises tailored for large corporate clients.

  • A minimum of 5 years of expertise in crisis management, disaster recovery, and/or business continuity planning for large enterprises.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in information technology (IT) and/or operational technology (OT), showcasing technical and operational proficiency.

  • Professional and polished demeanor with the ability to engage effectively with high-level executives.

  • Proven expertise in project management, including managing multiple deadlines and complex schedules.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading abilities.

  • Capable of working collaboratively and effectively in a remote-first environment.

  • Open to supporting global activities and initiatives as part of a dynamic, international team.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 12 years of professional experience in the cybersecurity industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of cyber risk, cyber regulatory compliance and cyber threat mitigation strategies.

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in information technology (IT) and/or operational technology (OT), showcasing technical and operational proficiency.

  • At least 7 years of experience delivering high-impact tabletop or simulation exercises tailored for large corporate clients.

  • A minimum of 7 years of expertise in crisis management, disaster recovery, and/or business continuity planning for large enterprises.

Reporting Relationships

This role reports directly to the Director of Executive Cybersecurity Exercises.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work but requires a willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time to facilitate in-person engagements. The role is open to candidates located anywhere within the United States, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals with a passion for cybersecurity training and global collaboration.

The base salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $185,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and years of experience. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
