Product Delivery – Acquire to Retire - Application Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

Southern Company is seeking a Business Analyst to provide support for the PowerPlant fixed asset, lease, and tax accounting software system. This position is with the Acquire to Retire Team and involves troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance of the PowerPlan application modules. The successful candidate will ensure the stability and efficiency of these vital application modules, manage user access, and assist in the ongoing maintenance and improvement of system-related initiatives.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide solution support including configuration, unit testing, controls execution, access management setup for PowerPlan applicationsolutions.

  • Collaborate with end-users to understand their requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance on system functionalities.

  • Analyze and resolvesystem defects to ensure system stability, accuracy, and data integrity.

  • Optimize system performance by identifying/implementing enhancements and best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.

  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles.

  • Stay informed about the latest features and functionalities of the PowerPlan application.

  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and optimizations.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 0-2 years experience in application support and troubleshooting, with a focus on Oracle Fusion ERP – Projects modules and/or PowerPlan application.

  • Working knowledge in property and utility accounting preferred but not required

  • Working knowledge of sql for data analysis, reporting and troubleshooting purposes is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills proven by experience in troubleshooting system issues and performing root cause analysis.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
