Actalent Microbiology Technician in Birmingham, Alabama

Job Title: Microbiology TechnicianJob Description

This position is responsible for conducting routine microbiological testing, documentation, and data analysis of utilities, raw materials, facilities, and equipment. Additionally, the microbiology technician will be responsible for the upkeep of the laboratory, laboratory supplies, and other routine laboratory tasks.

Hard Skills

  • Environmental Monitoring: Active/passive air sampling methods, RODAC/swab surface sampling methods, CliMet air sampling methods

  • Utilities Testing: City water, pre-treat water, clean stream and Water for Injection, nitrogen and process air

  • Classical Microbiological Methods: Identification of microorganisms

  • Validation Activities: Biological indicator recovery, bioburden rinse/swab, endotoxin rinse, endotoxin challenge vial testing

  • Data Analysis: Entry into Microbiology Information Management Systems (MIMS)

  • GMP Documentation: Document test results and conclusions in a GMP manner

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Birmingham, Alabama.

Work Environment
