Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Birmingham, Alabama

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Birmingham, Alabama. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be primarily involved in the financial sector, ensuring the smooth operation of customer accounts and the accurate processing of vendor invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process invoices from vendors in the accounts payable system.

• Ensure all customer accounts are monitored and actions are taken when necessary.

• Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records.

• Efficiently reconcile accounts to ensure all data is accurate.

• Handle customer inquiries related to their accounts and invoices.

• Utilize the Epicor system for processing and maintaining accounts.

• Download invoices received via email and record them in the system.

• Ensure all customer applications are processed accurately and efficiently.

• Manage and maintain all necessary records related to accounts payable.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the financial department.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

• Skill in Account Reconciliation.

• Experience with Epicor software. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with financial software systems, specifically Epicor

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Previous experience in an accounts payable role is desirable.
