MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for confidential support to the Assistant Superintendent. Collects information, maintains contacts with various departments and school districts. Thorough knowledge of school procedures and ability to handle routine details independently.

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in Office Technologies, Office Administration, Administrative Assistant or closely related field and two years of clerical experience in an office setting which included the use of computer applications to maintain records and produce correspondence OR

  • Four years of clerical experience in an office setting which included the use of computer applications to maintain records and produce correspondence OR

  • An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A) and B) above

  • Broome County Civil Service examination required
