Job Title: MIG/TIG Welder - 1st Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder to perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques during the assembly process of diversified metal assemblies according to customer drawing specifications and work order instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques for fabrications.

  • Ensure welding operations are performed according to established specifications, including production work orders and drawings.

  • Conduct quality self-inspection using drawings, fixtures, jigs, and measuring tools.

  • Meet pre-established objectives independently or as part of a team with limited to no supervision.

  • Maintain safety while handling parts and operating equipment to prevent damage to oneself, others, or production.

  • Actively participate in new product introductions and suggest new approaches for continued improvement in production and quality.

  • Contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of the workplace.

  • Perform routine welding machine maintenance as outlined in maintenance procedure manuals.

  • Keep the workplace safe and free of dangerous obstacles.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in MIG/TIG welding.

  • Experience in welding heavy steel and stainless steel.

  • Experience with new build welds and repair welds.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints.

  • Experience with TIG, Flux Core, Stainless Steel, and FCAW welding techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Manual dexterity.

  • Troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to adapt easily to various changes in situations.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. The role primarily involves standing for up to six hours per day, with some duties requiring short periods of sitting. Must be capable of lifting 0-50 lbs. in the proper ergonomic position.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Binghamton, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
