Avangrid Service Company Manager - Programs & Projects ECC in Binghamton, New York

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $101,404 to $126,755

Purpose

  • Performs application and project functions for the Digital Networks team supporting AVANGRID's Energy Control Centers (ECC).
  • Support maintenance, design, development & testing of functional requirements of the Operational tools with a primarily responsibility for iTOA - a planned work coordination platform used by the ECC and Electric Operations.
  • Document all database system design, maintenance and enhancement work.
  • Provide reporting either ad-hoc or an a regular basis from the iTOA tool
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the iTOA system for an uninterrupted service to ECC
  • Analyze, extract and make available system data upon request.
  • Support for other ECC related projects as-needed with either documentation or administrative tasks
  • Lead regular process improvement or gap analysis' on ECC systems and develop solutions leveraging project resources within the team
  • Provide key strategy inputs into ECC System's planning for future-state supporting the objectives of the Centralized Operations project

Key Technical Working skills
  • Experience in database administration in a tabular format
  • Preferred Experience in guiding software development and process improvement
  • Experience with data entry and queries
  • Understanding of technical processes, as well as ability to drive improvements
  • General knowledge in using/working on virtual environments.
  • Good Knowledge/Understanding of Electric Operations

General Knowledge & Skills
  • Working with the understanding of relevant Industry Compliance Regulations and Policies. (E.g. NERC-CIP, etc. training will be provided)
  • The ability to demonstrate good communication skills both written and orally. Experience in making sound decisions while working in a high-pressure environment.
  • Working during storm or other emergency conditions for 24-hour system support.
  • Able to work independently and contribute proactively to drive results.
  • Prior experience in working with Electric Utilities or with any other utilities is an advantage.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree with 2+ years of software app and database management experience; or high school diploma/GED with 5+ years software app and database management experience
  • Bachelor's degree a plus
  • ECC experience a plus
