Budget Title: Staff Associate (SL-4)

Salary: $65,000

As the Director of Assessment and Accreditation for the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership, the candidate will oversee and implement all aspects of the assessment and accreditation plan. This will require, among other duties, consistent engagement with faculty, staff, and community partners to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and to facilitate continuous improvement.

Job duties will include the following:

  • Supervising the creation and review of unit-wide and program-wide assessments, and leading data analysis for accreditation reports

  • Stay up-to-date and knowledgeable on national, state, and SUNY policies, best practices, and initiatives in assessment, accreditation, curriculum

  • Developing and managing assessment calendars

  • Supervise the development of accreditation reports and visit

  • Lead data analysis and report development for accreditation and continuous improvement

  • State, Federal, other entities: Middle States, Title II, US News & Report, Research & Development, AAQEP, SUNY

  • Lead assessment and accreditation-related meetings and initiatives with faculty, staff, and community partners, at least twice per semester

  • Review and share data with stakeholders and provide recommendations for continuous improvement

  • Oversee Taskstream Operations

  • Coordinate and maintain CTLE records for the University

  • Lead development of new program proposals (with faculty and chair)

  • Liaison with Graduate School and Chair on the development of new courses and programs

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience in assessment and accreditation within higher education and/or in K-12 schools

  • Strong understanding of state and federal accreditation requirements

  • Experience with data analysis and report development for accreditation and continuous improvement

  • Proficiency with assessment management systems, such as Weave and Taskstream

  • Strong organizational skills including problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and external partners

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution

  • Experience with SUNY policies and best practices in assessment and accreditation

  • Familiarity with national accreditation and reporting entities such as Middle States, Title II, US News & World Report, and AAQEP

  • Strong background in facilitating continuous improvement initiatives within an academic setting
