Accountant II, UHS Phelps Hall United Health Services is seeking a Accountant II to join our System Cash Management department at UHS Phelps Hall in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

$21.80 - $32.60 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Completes various bank reconciliations on a monthly basis for United Health Services Hospitals and affiliate organizations. Prepares various cash and investment related journal entries as part of month-end general ledger closing process. Maintains fixed asset accounting ledger including tracking of all capital expenditures and updating various fixed asset account analysis and reports on a monthly basis. Complete other cash management related tasks as needed. May perform tasks related to the preparation, analysis and reconciliation of the monthly financial statements, annual reporting, and other general accounting requests.

Qualifications

Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance, or healthcare field

• OR

• In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree and 2 years relevant experience.

• Working knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP and auditing standards
