Insitu has a need immediate need for an Accountant 1. This role will be supporting the accounting team and will be responsible for: Perform general accounting functions. Prepare routine balance sheet, profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements and other routine accounting schedules and basic financial reports. Mark identified accounting records for retention. Monitor cost classification system and assists in validating inputs. Perform checks to verify straightforward contracts are within negotiated and agreedupon parameters and cost control guidelines. Participate in internal audits. Review current contract costs and assists in estimating future costs and margins. Participate in forecasting profit and loss and balance sheet elements. Research and prepares responses to routine accounting related inquiries. Education & Experience: 0-2 years with Bachelor's degree or comparable combination of education and experience. Knowledge of how to implement/maintain/document effective internal controls and processes to ensure system integrity and compliance with accounting system requirements. Ability to identify and resolve accounting system issues. Ability to support internal/external auditors and aid implementation and problem resolution.
