NORTHWESTERN ENERGY Transmission Line Engineer in BILLINGS, Montana
Butte is preferred location, but location could be negotiable within Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena or Missoula.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of two years experience in transmission engineering required
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Strong computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple conflicting tasks and demands
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to work in field environment when needed with expulse to all field hazards and weather
- Ability to occasionally lift materials up to 35 pounds
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including weekend and overnights
- Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
- P.E or ability to obtain P.E. desired
- Knowledge in Project Development and Project Management principles and fundamentals is desired
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Develop engineering plans and preliminary transmission designs to support NorthWestern Energy's electric transmission capacity objectives
- Coordinate with other functional groups to meet expected outcomes and strategic direction
- Perform engineering and economic of multiple transmission line projects
- Perform transmission siting and routing analysis
- Compile and write technical reports and estimates and develop project budgets
- Develop and coordinate projects up to 230kV
- Perform computer related functions such as engineering analysis, design, drawings, spreadsheets and database compilations
- Assist in customer and land owner field investigations and other transmission design responsibility
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Full-time position.
$81,200 - $135,200 annually, depending on experience.
