Scope

As a Radiology Technologist, Limited Permit Holder you will perform radiographic procedures in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physicians specifications that includes, but is not limited to, transferring patients for examinations, ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, and assisting with the x-ray examination process. This position will only be allowed to work when a Registered Radiologic Technologist is on duty and present in the same facility.

  • Selects and operates equipment, including film cassettes and markers, while selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.

  • Assists physicians in performance of examinations by mixing and pouring contrast media, administering opaque medium holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures, and other related duties as required.

  • Supervises and evaluates student radiographers in the clinical setting

Qualifications

  • Enrollment with active participation in an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program, required

  • Current Montana State Limited Radiologic Permit to perform radiologic examinations, required

  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire (with prior approval), required
