The main purpose and function of the Inventory Control Clerk is to be responsible for accurately counting and reconciling inventory levels within our manufacturing facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items in various locations within the manufacturing facility.

  • Accurately record inventory counts using designated ERP Software.

  • Perform recounts as directed by Accounting/Plant Manager if counts do not align with the system.

  • Identify and report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages to management.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining inventory control counts as required.

  • Support Logistic Manager and Logistic Specialist as needed.

  • Verify shift by shift production count and enter into ERP software.

  • Count all finished goods, consumables, raw material, and pallets once per week to ensure accurate counts.

  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • One to two years’ inventory count or cycle counting preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Problem solving skills: ability to identify source of problem; execute solution and document the issue; escalate to management.

  • Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Multi-task oriented.

  • Forklift experience a plus.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

  • Able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Generally, work in an office environment.

  • Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
