Intermountain Health Home Medical Equipment Technician in Billings, Montana

Job Description:

This position facilitates the daily production of 02 cylinders at Intermountain Homecare and Hospice. They are responsible to collaborate and coordinate with internal customers daily to ensure that production is sufficient to meet patient demand. They process, fill, and test oxygen cylinders in accordance with government / regulatory guidelines and Intermountain Policy. Ensures proper and efficient storage and rotation of cylinders for required hydro testing. Performs daily, biweekly, and annual inspections of the Intermountain Homecare and Hospice Transfill system.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

One week out of six there is after hours call and this includes weekends. Normal hours are 8-5 M-F.

The Home Medical Equipment Technician provides technical support and assistance with duties including but not limited to, assisting customers, stocking, processing of equipment, repairs of equipment, delivery of equipment and supplies, and moving freight in and out.

  • Initiates all reimbursement documents, and coordinates them with billing- Performs the rotating and restocking of stock to avoid outages on the shelves, notifying staff when stock items are low, missing or unusable.

Receives all home medical equipment and stocks supplies and equipment- Processes all outgoing shipments as well as the special orders- Assists in cleaning and maintenance of all HOME owned equipment- Maintains an inventory location system for the back room and showroom for all items, shelf labels, location labels

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment- Valid MT Drivers License, a clean driving record, and ability to show proof of insurability annually

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$16.83 - $21.88
