Description We are in search of a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Big Spring, Texas. The primary role of the Staff Accountant is to manage all aspects of accounting including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Payroll, Franchise Tax, and State tax. You will also be involved in tax reporting, insurance renewals, and ensuring payroll is entered and submitted to our payroll service.

Responsibilities:

• Handle overall accounting tasks including AP and AR

• Manage cost or manufacturing experience, with training provided as necessary

• Handle tax reporting (Franchise taxes, State Taxes etc.)

• Manage insurance renewals

• Ensure Payroll is entered and submitted to the payroll service

• Conduct month end close

• Utilize Peachtree Accounting Software for all accounting tasks

• Work in a small office environment where teamwork and collaboration are highly valued

• Be prepared for a busy role with multiple responsibilities and tasks. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant

• Comprehensive knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance is necessary

• Experience in recording Journal Entries is expected

• Ability to handle Month End Close procedures is required

• Proficiency in Payroll processing is necessary

• Must have experience in handling Franchise Tax and State tax

• Proficiency in using Peachtree Accounting Software is a must

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential

• Must possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
