Description We are in search of a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Biddeford, Maine. This role revolves around the medical billing and accounting functions within the nursing industry. The successful candidate will work on-site five days a week, handling tasks such as processing bills, applying checks, and managing Medicare billing.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage medical bills on a monthly basis

• Apply checks to the appropriate accounts as part of cash handling responsibilities

• Handle Medicare billing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations

• Maintain and monitor daily census data

• Use the Point Click Care system for various tasks

• Execute accounting functions with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain precise records of accounts receivable

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitor customer accounts and take the necessary action when needed

• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations. Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Familiarity with Billing Functions in a medical setting

• Ability to handle Cash Activity accurately

• Knowledge of Medical Billing procedures and regulations

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding is preferred

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an asset
