Guardian Life Sr Wealth Management Learning & Development Specialist in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Position Overview:

The Sr Learning Specialist within the Operations Learning and Development team is responsible for development and delivery of operational training for the field and home office in collaboration with business stakeholders. Park Avenue Securities is Guardian’s broker-dealer and corporate Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), which offers clients an expanded suite of products and solutions to help them achieve financial well-being.

You will:

  • Use a consultative approach to identify business training needs and provide recommended solutions to address business training needs.

  • Use adult learning principles to facilitate instructor-led training, design and develop training materials, resource guides, eLearning, and video content. Partner with subject matter experts to maintain, review and update created content.

  • Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop training solutions aligned with business objectives and goals.

  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts using strong interpersonal skills, to include the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously using organizational and project management skills, prioritize tasks, proactively communicate with stakeholders and meet project deadlines.

  • Conducts project reviews and identifies lessons learned, makes recommendations for improvement and applies them to future projects.

  • Reviews content created or edited by others and provides feedback ensuring adherence to relevant standards and guidelines and alignment with learning solution design.

  • Monitors learning and development industry trends, tools and technologies and proactively shares with the team.

  • Coordinates and hosts team meetings, activities, L&D learning sessions to include preparation of meeting agendas and meeting notes.

  • Identifies opportunities in existing processes and procedures and makes recommendations to improve them to drive efficiency and an improved client experience.

You have:

  • 5+ years of training design, content development and facilitation using adult learning principles or equivalent subject matter expertise in Pershing and Envestnet technologies.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational development, communication or other related field. Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) or Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or instructional design certification and/or a combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations and training sessions.

  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment that demands a high degree of collaboration through coordination and communication with peers.

  • Experience with content creation or editing tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Synapse, Articulate Rise and/or Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, SnagIt, Camtasia.

  • Knowledge of the insurance and wealth management industries preferred.

Salary Range

$66,130.00 - $108,640.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
