St. Luke's University Health Network Pediatric Trauma Program Medical Director in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

St. Luke’s University Health Network, the region’s largest, most established health system, a major teaching hospital, and one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals is seeking a BC Pediatric Surgeon to join our dedicated team of trauma physicians, pediatric surgeons and advanced practitioners.

St. Luke’s is starting a Level II pediatric trauma center at St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital – Bethlehem Campus and is searching for a Pediatric Trauma Program Medical Director to help develop this new trauma program. The candidate will be critical in the development and success of this program. The pediatric trauma program will have the full support of the Network’s Adult Level I Trauma Center at St. Luke’s University Hospital – Bethlehem Campus. Candidates must be Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery with a minimum of four years of experience in the care of the acute trauma patient and able to demonstrate outstanding clinical skills.

  • Oversight of the development of new pediatric trauma program in conjunction with St. Luke’s trauma team.

  • Participate in trauma strategic planning and the development of new initiatives to grow services within the department.

  • Participate in provider recruitment initiatives.

  • In collaboration with service line leadership, evaluate the department’s financial performance and identify initiatives to improve.

  • Review and analyze quality and service metrics; develop and implement processes to improve.

  • Participate in Network education events and training of new providers.
