Human Resources Generalist - Hybrid

As a Human Resources Generalist, you’ll play a crucial role in assisting our HR team with a variety of activities, from administering leave management to supporting recruitment and onboarding efforts. The Human Resources Generalist is part of a dynamic growing Human Resources team and is responsible for providing exceptional support to internal and external stakeholders. As the HR Generalist, you will focus on providing support to managers and colleagues with timesheets, leave management, disability management, and payroll inquiries. This includes overseeing the leave of absence process, resolving complex leave-related issues, verifying leave coding on the HRCM, providing guidance on leave policies, and coordinating with payroll to ensure accurate payments are made during leave periods. Additionally, the role will support HR onboarding efforts and contribute to general HR functions as needed.
Human Resource Generalist Duties and Responsibilities
Manage general employment life cycle activities on HRCM including onboarding, leave management & termination
Oversee the administration of employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, STD, and other applicable state and federal regulations. Coordinate with disability center and payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment of benefits during leave periods.
Understanding and knowledge of state and federal employment law (including but not limited to COBRA, FLSA, ADA, HIPAA, EEO, AAP, and State Mandated Sick & Safe Leave).
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government regulations affecting colleague resources functions and assist in ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting.
Maintain colleague confidence and protect operations by keeping all data and PII confidential.
Maintain work history, compensation, education, reference & background checks, and testing of colleagues and qualified applicants in HRCM
Provide counsel, recommendations, and support to manage performance, including coaching, counseling, and partnership on performance plan development
Process staff to obtain Federal security clearances
Provide support and inputs to HR project initiatives as assigned
Assist in implementing HR programs and company-wide policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Human Resource Generalist Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in HR or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of HR experience with progressively increasing responsibility in Colleague Resources or related field; or a Master's degree and two years of experience; or any similar combination of education and experience preferred.
Intermediate skill level using MS Office (Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ Outlook).
Previous experience and demonstrated capability using HRCM (Workday) and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of state and federal employment law (including but not limited to COBRA, FLSA, ADA, HIPAA, EEO, and AAP).
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel on an ongoing basis.
Must be well organized, efficient, and able to work independently and within a team
Utilize active listening skills for one-on-one as well as group discussions.
Strong problem-solving skills and presentation skills, with demonstrated creativity and independence to address work challenges.
Responsible for having reliable High-Speed Cable or Fiber Optic Internet service and Internet Router in established home office
Excellent communication skills that include clear development of ideas, and excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
U.S. Citizenship
The ability to obtain and maintain public trust federal security clearance(s)
