PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site, located at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, MD, involved in supporting the US Navy’s Underwater Electromagnetic (UEM) Signatures Silencing and full-scale trials program. Other duties include, but not limited to:

  • Navy Surface Ships and Submarine signatures measurement systems and fleet support

  • Magnetic Silencing systems hardware

  • Underwater sensor build and test

    The applicant will participate and contribute to the team electronics technician support for UW measurement and on-board systems

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician

  • Formal electronics technician training

  • Experience with UW magnetic silencing

  • Experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus

    SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in analog & digital electronics

  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, DVM, function generators, etc.

  • Experience with underwater data measurements

  • Ability to troubleshoot electronics circuits

  • Proficient with Power Point, MS Word & Excel

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing

  • Some travel will be required

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
