Androscoggin Valley Home Care Services Payroll and Administrative Assistant in Berlin, New Hampshire
The Payroll and Administrative Assistant processes payroll weekly and handles various bookkeeping responsibilities associated with payroll, as well as billing tasks, clerical duties, answering phone calls, and general office tasks as delegated. The Payroll and Administrative Assistant reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Finance Director. This position supports all office personnel, ensuring that the day-to-day functions of the agency are carried out effectively and in accordance with policies and procedures.

Our mission is to responsibly provide the highest quality of personal care, homemaking, and respite services to meet the unique needs of each client. Responsibilities:
- Process payroll on a weekly basis
- Prepare payroll deductions, direct deposits, 941 deposits, Simple IRA payments, and NHDS payments each week
- Manage employees' accrued time and training logs
- Process daily timesheets
- Assist the Finance Director as needed
- Answer phone calls as necessary
- Perform HR duties related to hiring, including background checks, motor vehicle checks, and other new staff orientation requirements
- Assist with marketing and fundraising efforts, including organizing the annual appeal for Dorothy's Gift, writing advertisements, managing social media accounts, and overseeing community outreach
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in accounting, marketing, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
- A quick learner, willing to collaborate with a team to problem-solve
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative ability in marketing and community outreach
