IT Cyber Network Operations Product Manager (Hybrid)This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Our Team

The Cyber Network Operations Product Manager will play a critical hands-on role in both strategic and operational aspects of the company's cyber and network infrastructure. This role requires a deep technical understanding of networking, network telemetry, network detection, and general troubleshooting. The resource will have key responsibilities in maintaining and advancing our tapping infrastructure, supporting network operations, and enhancing cyber operations. In addition, this role will contribute to the overall cyber and network strategy and roadmap, ensuring that best practices and new technologies are implemented effectively. The resource may lead a small team but will primarily be engaged in hands-on activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Play a key role in developing and executing strategic goals related to network and cyber operations, ensuring alignment with overall IT security objectives.
  • Maintain and operate network tapping infrastructure, supporting day-to-day monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure network visibility.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to network-related security events, leveraging network telemetry to maintain a proactive security stance.
  • Act as a key contributor in the planning and execution of the company’s cyber and network roadmap, collaborating closely with other cybersecurity and IT teams.
  • Troubleshoot network incidents and assist in the resolution of complex technical issues involving network detection systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on expertise for network detection, incident response, and general troubleshooting.
  • Maintain knowledge of current technologies, products, and best practices, particularly with respect to network and cyber defense.
  • Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new network detection and telemetry tools, ensuring the tools remain relevant to evolving threats.
  • Lead, mentor, and train junior cyber engineers, as needed, to enhance the team’s overall capabilities.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including technical staff, management, and business units.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.

Experience :

  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience in networking, network security, and cyber operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge in networking fundamentals, network detection systems, and network telemetry.
  • Strong familiarity with cyber security and penetration testing.
  • Experience in configuring and managing network tapping and monitoring infrastructure.
  • Understanding of virtualization systems is a plus
  • Ability to perform detailed network troubleshooting and incident analysis.
  • Experience with network detection and response tools and platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with network security standards, including NIST frameworks and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting and automation is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and document technical issues, adapting the level of detail to suit the audience.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring junior team members is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • On-call and occasional off-hours work required.

Compensation and Benefits

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $155,790.00 to $173,100.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
