Boeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for an Senior Project Engineer to join us as part of our F-15 SEIT Team team located in St. Louis, MO.

Boeing Bombers and Fighters division is seeking a Project Engineer to serve on the F-15 System Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Platform Systems Integration Team in support of the F-15 Software Upgrades Program. The F-15 SEIT Team supports the Bombers and Fighters division of Boeing Defense Systems. The program is based in St. Louis, Missouri: one of our largest, most dynamic sites with a broad business portfolio.

This program includes an amazing group of partner capability leaders and teammates – this program is challenging but very rewarding. The successful candidate will not only gain in knowledge of Boeing engineering and business processes but also in knowledge of the F-15 Platform and Teams that come together to produce state-of-the-art systems critical to survivability of the warfighter.

The duties of the Project Engineer are to work with the Program Office Leadership and the Software Upgrades SEIT Team to successfully execute the Program. The Project Engineer provides a systems engineering and integration perspective to the program leadership team and assists in the technical execution of the program.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight of the Software Development Program

  • Overall technical leadership for proposal development and engineering estimates

  • Assess changes to the Statement of Work (SOW) and provides impacts to Program Management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to engineering and support teams

  • Support Program management by providing technical data, analysis and history to support Program discussions

  • Host and facilitate program technical reviews

  • Support Risk management and issue resolution

  • Support product integrity and engineering program execution

  • Support platform requirements allocation and Technical Performance Measure (TPM) development

  • Coordinate and Communicate with customer technical leads

  • Ensure technical integrity of Program Milestones

  • Utilize the understanding of engineering processes to Collaborate with Program Management and Engineering functions to support Customer needs

  • Lead analysis and trade study activities to optimize total system definition and architecture

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 5+ years of engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience using DOORS for requirements management

  • 6+ months experience with Systems Engineering Principles

  • 6+ months of experience with SAFE Agile processes

  • Current US security clearance

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $114,750 - $155,250
