Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent computer skills, strong mathematical abilities, and a keen eye for detail to join our team as a Purchasing and Manufacturing Assistant. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses a combination of technical prowess and administrative acumen.

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Management: Utilize computer skills to maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and inventory systems with accuracy and precision.

  2. Procurement Support: Assist in purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and processing purchase orders. Prior experience in purchasing will be highly advantageous.

  3. Manufacturing Coordination: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth production processes. Previous experience in manufacturing will be considered a strong asset.

  4. Mathematical Proficiency: Apply strong math skills to analyze data, calculate quantities, and reconcile discrepancies in inventory and purchasing records.

  5. Attention to Detail: Thoroughly review documents, contracts, and specifications to identify errors and inconsistencies, ensuring high-quality outputs.

  6. Communication: Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to convey requirements, negotiate terms, and resolve any issues promptly.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with inventory management software.

  • Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Prior experience in manufacturing and/or purchasing is highly desirable.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to learn and open to training opportunities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in business administration or relevant field preferred.

Additional Details:

  • Location: Onsite with free parking.

  • Hours: Full-time, with flexible scheduling options (9am-5pm or 8am-4pm).

  • Type: Contract-to-hire, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.
