Job Title: Electrical Build Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on individual to join our world-class team as a Test Technician, with a focus on building our test equipment! This is a fantastic opportunity to help us develop our core technology by processing battery pack tests for large-scale experimental cell builds. In this role, you will work as a part of our Test Operations’ test team and coordinate directly with our Infrastructure team to build test stands for truly grid-scale batteries. Your familiarity with established norms around electromechanical builds will enable you to smoothly execute and improve our technical development. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual to sharpen their technical skills and lend their experience to directly impact the development of a breakthrough technology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Control panel wiring

  • Assemble, organize, and inspect test infrastructure electrical subassemblies and integrated test systems

  • Use and maintain electrical build tooling in a shared workspace

  • Commission and troubleshoot completed test infrastructure systems and confirm initial mechanical functionality, including validation using associated sensor readings, in collaboration with the commissioning and engineering teams

  • Document findings and testing metrics for performance traceability

  • Offer recommendations for keeping documentation up to date
