Description

The Logistics Specialist will support the Logistics Manager in controlling and expediting materials and services, ensuring contracts are successfully executed from origin to destination. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable customer service.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the daily management of logistics operations, ensuring seamless material flow and contract execution.

• Provide effective and dependable customer service to maintain satisfaction and trust.

• Prepare, coordinate, and authorize shipping and delivery instructions in line with contract terms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Issue shipping instructions to suppliers and warehouse facilities.

• Contract transportation providers as needed.

• Review and verify documentation for accuracy and compliance.

• Track and expedite shipments to ensure timely delivery.

• Enter logistics transactions and documentation into the ERP system.

• Maintain regular communication with warehouses, carriers, and customers.

• Assist in weekly inventory reconciliations.

• Collaborate with sales, purchasing, accounting, suppliers, and customers as required.

  Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in MS Office or Apple Pages and Numbers.

• 2-4 years of experience in transportation, logistics, and/or customer service.
