As a Senior Software Engineer on Sam's Tech Release Engineering team you will be responsible for developing a reusable CI/CD framework for Mobile Application Releases that can be adopted across all front-end applications at Sam's Tech . You will oversee small project team consisting of other engineers who will look to you as a trusted advisor, a subject matter expert who provides guidance and the right tools to get the job done.

  • You have experience in building micro services with AirWatch API's and scripts to build reusable and inheritable pipelines that support automated releases and change requests

  • You have experience in mobile application deployments on Android and IOS devices. (preferably using AirWatch)

  • You have experience in Jenkins, RESTful Services, Java, Spring Boot Framework, RDBMS, NoSql, Python

  • You have experience with frontend technologies like React JS for Desktop applications and React Native for Mobile applications.

  • Embed Machine Learning and AI algorithms into standalone applications and/or microservices

  • You're organized, disciplined, and can manage large project simultaneously

  • You have high standards for code quality

  • You're stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale

  • You are biased for action and roll up your sleeves to unblock your team

About Team:

We are a one-stop shop for all mission-critical services that are both high-quality and low-cost. Our team is responsible for a variety of priorities, including solving complex problems for all of our stakeholders across the board by providing world-class services such as Source to Contract, Procure to Pay for Goods Not for Resale, Business Intelligence & Robotic Process Automation, Networking, and Pre & Post Payment Audits.

What you'll do:

  • Assist small to medium-sized complex projects by reviewing and understanding project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering needed information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; communicating status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross-functional teams; identifying areas of opportunity; interpreting information and identifying a solution; ensuring solution is sustainable across implementation and use; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.

  • Provide support to the business for new and existing systems by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility); researching and identifying needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems; and directing users to appropriate contacts for issues outside of own domain.

  • Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality); performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues; engaging support teams when needed; developing solutions; driving the development of an action plan; performing actions as designated in the plan; and completing online documentation.

  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

What you'll bring:

  • Master of Science in Computer Science and 5+ years' experience in software engineering OR Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and 8+ years' experience in software engineering or relevant fields

  • 5+ years of experience with designing, developing and supporting complex systems using Java as programming language

  • 5+ years of experience with Java/JEE, Spring Framework, NodeJS

  • 5+ years of experience with Databases: Experience in handling RDBMS databases like Azure SQL, PostGres and NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud: Azure Cloud Platform, Azure Storage

  • 3+ years of experience with micro-services architectures, event-based architecture (Kafka), Kubernetes, Docker.

  • Proficient in monitoring & Alerting: Dynatrace, Splunk etc.

  • Proficient in open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architecture. Familiarity with CI/CD and unit testing

  • Experience with TDD and automated testing frameworks

  • Experience with DevOps

  • Experience in production system operations (logging, telemetry, alerting etc.)

  • Experience working in a KPI driven highly agile environment

  • Should have a keen eye for detail and desire to learn, win, collaborate, and relish a challenge

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
