Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Assesses maintenance issues using knowledge of department goals and operational issues. Seeks advice when assigned goals conflict with departmental or overall company goals. Documents regulatory and reporting requirements. Understands the significance of and how to apply One Best Way and Standard Operation Procedure information. Identifies and reports safety hazards and anomalies during operational processes to supervisor(s). Looks for and analyzes situations or conditions that may have regulatory ramifications.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Utilizes data analysis tools to explore moderately complex data, develop and test hypotheses, use data to influence strategic work, and build and present insights. Identifies, implements, and drives technology change within the scope of work. Uses visualization tools to represent data and create coherent stories to influence decisions.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Analyzes stakeholder needs and collaborates with stakeholders to share relevant information. Responds to requests in a timely and effective manner. Uses a "one team" approach to collaboration and the achievement of business goals.

Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Makes recommendations to business stakeholders on how to solve complex business issues (for example, business operations, necessary skills, revenue generation models). Creates business cases for projects with a projected return on investment or cost savings. Exhibits an in-depth functional knowledge of the business unit/organization being supported. Translates business requirements into projects, activities, and tasks that align with the overall business strategy. Serves as an interpreter and conduit for connecting business needs with tangible solutions and results. Recommend new processes and ways of working.

Communicates credibly and concisely in an interdivisional/interdepartmental setting. Presents to and influences team members, customers, and clients, conveying complex information clearly and accurately and proactively addressing ambiguity. Independently assembles and prepares reports/material/storylines that have a structure and logical flow and are based on relevant, fact-based information. Influences team members and leaders to take action based on sound recommendations. Seeks and provides constructive feedback, anticipates needs/questions, and responds appropriately.

Maintains quality and safety standards in area of responsibility by ensuring associates are trained on Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and company policies, standards and procedures. Monitors associate compliance with policies and procedures. Distributes and maintains procedures and supporting documentation. Validates equipment compliance.

Serves as the primary point of contact between the organization and vendors. Resolves routine supplier issues. Escalates nonroutine issues up the chain of command. Conducts research on alternative vendors or suppliers. Participates in supplier selection. Follows procedures when performing routine supplier management tasks. Collaborates with vendors to ensure that purchases are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

Suggests methods for reducing variation and/or waste in processes. Participates in requirements analysis for process changes. Illustrates issues, opportunities, and methods for optimizing current business processes. Assists in determining which factors should be addressed in change programs. Collects data for use in business process analysis.

Contributes to the development of evaluation standards and troubleshooting criteria. Adheres to standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure that resolutions are effective. Describes common hardware, software, and communication issues, as well as potential solutions. Uses vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools, and utilities to identify application issues. Troubleshoots common technical problems in a specific area. Solicits feedback from partners and reports and monitors bugs and implementation issues. Contributes to the development of technical specifications for facility equipment. Maintains and utilizes data pertaining to install base configurations and support guides. Explains basic environment and product configuration options.

Appropriately utilizes the crisis management chain of command. Participates in the development of procedures to address with situations that could lead to a crisis. Maintains employee, vendor, and other third-party contact lists, as well as crisis management documentation. Participates in a crisis management team. Participates in the development of simulated crisis scenarios and the selection of appropriate responses. Assists in the implementation of effective warranty claims management strategies. Oversees work orders, repairs, and discrepancies to maximize cost savings and accuracy. Consults on complex warranty claims and settlements.

Monitors standard operations in hardware product reliability quality assurance programs. Guides team members in product redesign and feature changes to improve product performance and reliability. Directs the collection of information on product failures and uses the information to redesign or improve products. Consults on the definition of success for hardware products and reliability tests. Creates evaluation metrics to evaluate hardware product reliability improvement plans and programs. Uses probability and statistical measures to evaluate products and estimate and monitor reliability.

Assists in the creation of relevant information files for specific vendors, customers, or contracts. Implements organizational protocols and procedures for contract management. Reviews contract to ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulations. Administrates the department's locally relevant contracts.

Documents capital appropriations and project authorizations. Produces budget reports of planned versus actual expenses, with variances explained. Implements budgeting procedures that are already in place within the organization. Utilizes internal budgeting and chargeback procedures. Provides supporting information and justifications for major line items. Examines the role of various expense management guidelines within the organization.

Assists in reviewing the fulfillment of administrative and documentation requirements for purchases. Uses approved supplier procurement systems and tools. Conducts procurement activities in accordance with established procedures, documentation requirements, and approval level requests. Works with the acquisition of services, materials, or equipment. Interprets the benefits, issues, and considerations of using procurement.

Organizes, stores, and extracts data, information, and content for analysis. Identifies redundant fields in data collection and recommends changes by defining necessary transformations and data preparation procedures. Performs statistical hypothesis testing and develops analytics solutions for specific tasks and predefined data sets. Creates a feedback loop between data intake and insights. Works to improve the data collection process. Creates simple dashboards using multiple visualization techniques and languages for existing and new analytics applications and processes. Presents to internal/external stakeholders using appropriate frameworks and conveys clear messages through business and stakeholder understanding.

Conducts a variety of negotiations for the business. Assesses and leads fact-based decisions in high-risk situations and educates others on appropriate negotiation strategies. Reduces and resolves disagreements by anticipating objections and adjusting negotiating strategies. Adheres to and coaches others on company and regulatory retailer supplier relationship processes, values, and policies. Performs due diligence to reduce risks. Seeks advice and escalates complex legal and/or regulatory issues as needed.

Monitors progress and generates project variance analysis reports. Implements planned actions and communicates with and from affected parties. Ensures that project issues are identified and reported to the appropriate project personnel. Reports dependencies, conflicts, and completion date status to the project management team. Creates cost-benefit analyses; monitors and evaluates actual costs in comparison to budgeted costs. Assess and lead fact-based decisions in high-risk situations, and educate others on strategy changes. Establishes monitoring and control mechanisms that enable the team to engage in adaptive planning and continuous improvement, while also encouraging rapid iteration and adaptability to change.

The annual salary range for this position is $79,000.00-$169,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
