As Senior. Manager, Supplier Inclusion, Supplier Development - Sourcing:

You'll make an impact by...

  • Being a strong business partner to the General Merchandise (GM) supplier development, sourcing, merchandising and marketplace teams (GM teams).

  • Driving strategic business development by identifying, assessing, and nurturing new small, emerging, and diverse-owned businesses as potential suppliers for Walmart.

  • Supporting the GM teams in their strategy development efforts, opportunity mapping, data analysis, and plotting supplier growth pathways while also managing and growing an existing portfolio of GM suppliers.

  • Build strong enterprise collaboration across corporate affairs, communications, events solutions, legal, finance, compliance, and related core cross-functional teams.

  • Fostering strong enterprise collaboration across a range of internal teams, such as corporate affairs, communications, events solutions, legal, finance, and compliance.

  • Continually developing insights from the supplier portfolio to inform business strategy and promote inclusion growth across GM teams

  • Growing supplier engagement through capacity development in collaboration with the supplier capabilities team.

  • Growing internal stakeholder engagement especially across merchandise, merchandise operations and related merchandise support teams, e.g., supplier administration, supplier finance.

  • Building expertise on new business and new business revenue models, helping guide suppliers to knowledge and know-how resources and tools for this business.

  • Taking initiative to identify solutions related to data, engagement, and training to support suppliers and cross-functional workstreams.

  • Communicating effectively internally and externally while building trust and accountability with stakeholders.

  • Managing time-bound projects with a bias to action and a focus on clear outputs and outcomes against strategic choices to build portfolio, increase level of support to GM teams, while also embedding lasting know-how across internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrating resilience through dynamic, collegial environment to compete and win the customer through excellent supplier development and engagement.

  • Growing understanding of current and future state supplier inclusion and supplier certification landscape along with strong engagement with external stakeholders in support of business and supplier growth objectives.

  • Engaging and supporting accountability across core events management and follow-up.

  • Up to 15% travel for conferences, trade shows, or other role related business development supplier and stakeholder engagement requirements.

You'll sweep us off our feet if you...

  • You have experience working in multiple business areas/ functions/ segments at Walmart or similar retailer or supplier company (merchandising, merchandise operations, merchandise finance, business development, business strategy or similar)

  • You have strong data analysis, project management, organization, business development, business writing and strategy presentation skills.

  • You have strong budget and budget management support skills.

  • You have proven skills in influencing while upholding Walmart's core values.

  • You are team-oriented and work well as both a subject matter expert and within and across core teams.

  • You understand Walmart's Product Sourcing and/or Professional Services Procurement and /or Store and Supply Chain Operations infrastructure, processes, and systems

  • You have strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Sustainability or similar

  • You are able to demonstrate and communicate a commitment, interest, and curiosity in and for Belonging, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in support of customer and community connection

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
