Walmart Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance And Ethics - Industrial Hygiene in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Join our U.S. Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Compliance Team to support and oversee the management of all Industrial Hygiene and Indoor Air Quality for the Walmart U.S. Business. This role is critical as we continue to manage existing legacy facilities and work through programs for new facilities that range from a new Home Office, Fulfillment Centers, Stores and Clubs, to Manufacturing facilities. You will support business partners in assessing risk, building corresponding controls, developing training and awareness programs, and assisting our design and engineering teams.

What you'll do...

  • Access occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

  • Develop strategies for enhancing and driving efficiencies in Industrial Hygiene related programs.

  • Coordinate with a complex group of stakeholders to drive effective implementation of Industrial Hygiene / Indoor Air Quality related programs and initiatives.

  • Serve as a clearing house for all Industrial Hygiene issues that range in complexity from identifying and resolving matters within the retail, supply chain, and manufacturing environment.

  • Coordinate with consultants and conducts evaluation of reports to determine next steps to resolve identified issues.

  • Support technical services and consultants during regulatory Industrial Hygiene inspections (OSHA).

What you'll bring...

  • You are a subject matter expert in Industrial Hygiene with working knowledge of federal and state level regulations.

  • Significant experience managing Industrial Hygiene related regulatory responses.

  • Expertise with identification and resolution of biological, chemical, and physical agents. For example - mold identification and remediation, dust hazards, and airborne irritants.

  • Experience working with multiple business stakeholders to solve complex issues.

  • A risk management related mindset that balances business needs and urgency when managing Industrial Hygiene related initiatives.

  • Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams within a matrixed environment.

  • A degree in Industrial Hygiene, Life Science, EHS, or a related field and extensive experience managing and building Industrial Hygiene programs.

  • Extensive knowledge pertaining to workplace exposures within the retail, supply chain, and manufacturing industry.

  • Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, and/or 7+ years' experience managing industrial hygiene within the industry.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years' supervisory experience. 3 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
