Walmart Senior Manager, Security (Emerging Technology) in Bentonville, Arkansas

Are you ready to join Walmart's Facility Security & Technology team and help protect the world's largest retailer by shaping the Security Technology landscape of the future ? The Sr Manager, Security (Emerging Technology) is a crucial role that will influence one of the world's largest security deployments by helping to steer the technology roadmap for CCTV, Access Control, Paging, Fire Alarm, and Intrusion systems deployed at Walmart properties across the globe. This position will enhance our Security Technology portfolio by focusing on emerging technology to continue the mission of making Walmart the safest place to work and shop. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional team and evaluate technology-based solutions to improve our current security processes, work closely with technology vendors and internal stakeholders to design and deploy leading edge solutions, and present findings and strategies to senior leadership. Additionally, you will coordinate with legal and policy partners to develop governance and "Standard Operating Procedures" (SOP) that align to support specific security gaps.

This position is based in Bentonville, AR with no remote or hybrid options.

What you'll do...

  • Lead with integrity while delivering quality results

  • Bring a fluid knowledge of physical security technology solutions (CCTV, Access Control, Paging, Fire Alarm, Intrusion Alarms, Central Station Monitoring, and Security Operation Centers)

  • Collaborate with leadership on the ideation and implementation of strategies and solutions that support the deterrence, detection, and response to potential threats to the business

  • Plan with internal and external stakeholders to help guide and deploy emerging technology solutions

  • Have a fluid knowledge of physical, personal, and information security protection and response to mitigate threats and incident

  • Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Cyber, Privacy, Legal, Investigations, Asset Protection, Corporate Security, End-to-End, and Operations

  • Deliver presentations and reports to leadership

  • Continuously evaluate changes in the environment, to include both strategy and technology to enhance capabilities for multiple stakeholders

  • Identify and develop relationship with law enforcement agencies to coordinate security technology integration in support of security and response efforts to address threats and incidents

What you'll bring...

  • Experience similar to a technically trained law enforcement professional with experience developing, utilizing and/or deploying technical solutions in support of events or to mitigate various security threats.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Advanced technical writing

  • A solid understanding of security technologies and how they work together to provide multi-leveled deterrence, detection, and notification

  • Experience leading project teams

  • A comfort in building relationships, leveraging internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders and working collaboratively on a cross-functional team

  • You are future-focused and actively seek out opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security technology

  • A passion and competency for Research and Development related to emerging security technologies

  • Experience in public speaking and presenting to mid to large sized audiences

  • A drive to execute today while focusing on the future

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Risk Management, or related field and 4 years' experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area OR 6 years' experience in security, emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, fire service, or related area.
