The team you will be a part of

The Material Management team is responsible for inventory audits and maintaining inventory at optimum levels. Develops procedures to enhance the effectiveness of inventory control programs. Coordinates with relevant departments to schedule, audit, and reconcile periodic physical inventories. Oversees incoming shipments of merchandise to ensure that inventory is accurate, updated and provided according to schedules.

This role in summary

This position is overall responsible for the operations of the NAR Vendor Managed Inventory & Cross Dock networks to include the inventory efficiency, product flow and supplier compliance to the VMI & Cross Dock policies. Position oversees 6 VMI warehouses & 6 Cross Dock warehouses operated by multiple 3PL providers to ensure performance versus contracted service levels. Additionally this role is process owner for onboarding of new suppliers to the VMI program and performance of those suppliers in complying with program requirements. A successful candidate will autonomously lead the program, collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, reduce costs, and drive overall operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Oversee daily operations of the warehouse network, ensuring performance meets or exceeds contracted service levels.

  • Manage relationships with 3PL providers, addressing operational issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Creating & managing an accurate financial outlook & profit plan for inbound warehouse operations

  • Monitor inventory capacity & throughput, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Materials, Inbound Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customs / trade compliance) to optimize material flow, reduce costs, and improve processes.

  • Training & onboarding new suppliers and process partners to VMI program, process, policies, and requirements

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to enhance warehouse operations, implement new strategies, and support broader supply chain initiatives.

  • Willingness to travel to sites to support operations and for special projects

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, 3PL management, or supply chain logistics.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

  • Proven project management experience, with a track record of successful implementation and execution.

  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, google suite, and other relevant supply chain management tools.

  • Knowledge of lean concepts and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Experience in VMI , Cross Dock, and Inbound Warehouse operations.

  • Familiarity with international logistics, customs regulations, IMMEX & Foreign trade zone compliance,

  • Experience in supplier management and onboarding.

  • Familiar with inbound materials planning & manufacturing processes

  • Fluent in Spanish
