Responsibilities Duties: The Electrical Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Benson, MN will design, fabricate, test, implement and modify vehicle electrical schematic for new feature requirements for new and existing products. Collaborate with system engineering to gather controller pinouts and design appropriate electrical schematics. Develop, test and implement engineering change orders (ECOs) for design revisions. Establish test procedures and systems for inspection of electronic/electrical components. Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products. Analyze equipment to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests. Work with multiple suppliers for appropriate harness and electrical components. Design 3D routing of harnesses and battery cables and design brackets to mount electrical components. Interpret FEA results and incorporate findings into the designs. Conduct design reviews with cross functional teams. Support the vehicle architecture team in packaging major electrical components. Perform quality checks with respect to manufacturability and customer standards. Prepare work orders, test requests and support the build and troubleshooting issues. Document build issues and solve issues using PIR's (7 Step process). Analyze electrical deviation requests to determine solutions and implement changes. Conduct weekly status review meetings on projects with internal team and suppliers. Train production staff on using new parts in assembly process. Telecommuting available up to two days per week. Salary: $101,900 - $145,200/year. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or directly related field and 5 years of electrical engineering experience. The 5 years of experience must include 5 years of experience with: 1) designing vehicle electrical schematic; 2) 3D routing, 2D harness and 3D layout in Pro-Cable; 3) providing electrical support for current product development and continuous product improvement; 4) conducting design reviews with cross functional teams; 5) coordinating with suppliers on designed parts and machine builds; 6) maintaining product lifecycle management (PLM) of the electrical harness, schematic and related electrical components; and 7) performing release process using the TCAE, E-central and CRB process.
