Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Bensalem, Pennsylvania
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Construction/Contractor industry, located in BENSALEM, Pennsylvania. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills as you will be tasked with processing weekly certified payrolls, verifying pay rates and deductions, and maintaining accurate reporting. The position is based on-site and requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
Responsibilities:
• Process weekly certified payrolls accurately and efficiently
• Verify pay rates and deductions in compliance with union contracts and company policies
• Maintain accurate reporting and facilitate communication with labor unions
• Manage customer inquiries and resolve them in a timely manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other ERP Systems like ComputerEase to manage and organize data
• Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance requirements
• Conduct regular audits of payroll information to ensure accuracy
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting functions relevant to the role
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of one year experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions is mandatory.
• Auditing skills are essential for this role.
• Familiarity and experience with ComputerEase software is a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• The candidate should have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary.
• The ability to handle confidential information responsibly is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• The candidate should have a strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of construction and contractor industry is a plus.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• The candidate should have a strong understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.
