Do you like to teach, giggle, inspire, and play? Our licensed, 5 STAR, NAEYC Early Care and Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center seeks early childhood education professionals. We are seeking a warm, caring, and positive floater teacher to support the three classrooms in our excellent program. The floater is responsible for covering breaks, assisting teachers, and assisting with the creation of enriching, exciting opportunities for our children ages 6 weeks to two-years-old. Floaters are an essential support for our classes! This is an excellent entry level position for anyone looking to enter the field of early education.
Primary Duties:
- Maintain NAEYC Guidelines for Best Practices and all state licensing regulations in daily operations.
- Work positively and collectively with others, as a team member of the ECE Program and the Sunrise community.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Prospective candidates must have the ability to pass a background check with fingerprinting, to be completed upon employment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children. Preference given to those who are familiar with developmentally appropriate curriculum, trauma-informed practices, and who are willing to, or have completed Fundamentals for Early Childhood professionals or a 3-credit college course in Child Development.
Schedule: 30 Hours per week, Monday Friday: 9:00am 3:00pm, with a 30 minute paid lunch.
Compensation: \$16 - \$18/hour, based on experience
