Our client is a construction company that is looking to add headcount! We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to add to the team!

• LOCATION: Fully Onsite in Benicia

• TYPE: Contract-to-hire

• Must Have: Construction Industry, Reconciliation, Journal Entry Experience (2 years minimum)

• PAY: 37 - 40+ an hour(depending on experience)

• SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday

They are looking to convert to permanent so now!

salary: $37 - $41 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

 Prepare journal entries for company accounts

 Record monthly accruals, reconcile to actuals as they occur throughout the month

 Conduct monthly close procedures ensuring deadlines are met

 Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to include bank reconciliations

 Review property taxes for all communities and coordinate annual payment

 Prepare sales & use tax returns

 Prepare spreadsheets, and upload budgets and forecasts using a spreadsheet loader

 Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly financial reports

 Prepare schedules for Audits

 Work on special projects, as needed

 Additional support functions as needed

 Demonstrate excellent customer service in all interactions with internal and external customers

 Demonstrate flexibility while operating in a highly professional manner

Skills

• SAGE (1 year of experience is required)

• Journal Entries (1 year of experience is required)

• Accruals (1 year of experience is required)

• Bank Reconciliations (1 year of experience is required)

• Property Tax (1 year of experience is required)

• Sales Tax (1 year of experience is required)
