Beltrami County is creating an eligibility list for a full-time benefited Conservation Technician to work in the Environmental Services Department, focusing primarily on soil health, working with ag producers, and implementing local watershed management plans. Responsibilities include providing and promoting environmental conservation services to landowners on behalf of the Beltrami Soil & Water Conservation District. Additional responsibilities may include operating a tree sales program, project development and management, storm water program implementation, educational activities, native vegetation restoration projects, forest stewardship, agriculture best management practices, and coordinating with various citizen groups and agencies. Performs intermediate technical work providing assistance and information to landowners regarding environmental conservation and related work as apparent or assigned.
