Description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk in Beltsville, MD. In this role, you will be integral in establishing policies, processes, and controls that will support our business operations and drive operational efficiencies. You will work across various teams and have an enterprise-wide exposure, highlighting the importance of this role in ensuring our company's continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the accounting department with billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and month-end close activities

• Working on account reconciliation and analyzing variances

• Collaborating with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhancing efficiency and accuracy of information

• Identifying cost-saving opportunities across the business

• Providing support to the Accounting team in various tasks

• Carrying out collections activities and processing expense reports

• Performing check cutting as required

• Ensuring accurate customer credit records and processing customer credit applications efficiently

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action as needed.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk role or similar position

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrable skills in Billing, Data Entry, and Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software preferred

• Experience in Billing Collection and B2B collections is preferred

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Must possess problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.
