Aerotek Excavator/ Dozer Operator in Belmont, North Carolina

Excavator/Dozer Operators Needed!

Pay $22-28 p/hr

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operator Technicians to assist clean-up and maintenance. The role involves operating various pieces of equipment such as Dozers (D6 to D8), Track hoes (CAT 336/ CAT 326L Long reach), and articulated off-road dump trucks to haul and move dirt. You will be responsible for performing heavy production activities, including loading and moving materials like ash, dirt, and rock, removing topsoil, and leveling terrain. You will also perform routine maintenance on equipment and coordinate machine actions with other crew members.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Dozers (D6 to D8), Track hoes (CAT 336/ CAT 326L Long reach), and articulated off-road dump trucks.

  • Haul and move various materials such as ash, dirt, and rock.

  • Perform heavy production activities.

  • Load and/or move materials using heavy construction equipment.

  • Remove topsoil, vegetation, and rocks to distribute and level earth or terrain.

  • Coordinate machine actions with other activities, responding to hand or audio signals from crew members.

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine necessary repairs.

  • Use GPS equipment (Trimble and Top Con) for precise operations.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with production grading.

  • Proficient in operating Dozers, Track hoes, and articulated off-road dump trucks.

  • Ability to load trucks with dirt, dig trenches, and perform mass grading.

  • Experience in using GPS systems like Trimble and Top Con is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in heavy equipment operation, earthworks, and construction.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Belmont, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
