Kleinschmidt Associates Senior Regulatory Consultant in Bellingham, Washington

Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Senior Regulatory Consultant to support Regulatory project work in Pacific Northwest Region. Our flexibility and core value of relationships allow us to offer employees the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment including working from either our Redmond or Bellingham, WA offices or our Portland, OR office and remotely. Salary: $87,000-125,000/year (based on experience) Who You Are A regulatory professional with a minimum 15 years' experience and Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Ecology, Planning, Outdoor Recreation, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field. Knowledgeable: In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulatory processes, including but not limited to FERC licensing, State 401 Clean Water Act, SEPA, CEQA, US Army Corps Engineers 404 permits, etc. Must possess excellent oral communication skills, including presentation ability, with an advanced writing and editing ability. Relationship-focused: The ideal candidate will forge long-term, professional relationships with existing clients to obtain continued work, as well engaged in new client development and attracting work by marketing, proposal writing, strategizing, and maintaining professional relationships. Additionally, mentoring of junior level employees will be a focus, as well as peer mentoring, as requested. Project Manager: Experience working on all aspects of large, complex projects, working directly with senior leader and clients s to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment. Additional Requirements Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States. Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license. About the Position This position will be responsible for but not limited to, managing the work of staff on multiple projects concurrently, and will oversee the deliverable process, evaluating opportunities for improvement on efficiencies and modifications for overall objectives. Additionally, as a Project Manager, this position will be responsible for strategically scopes, prices, and prepares proposals to acquire work on large projects or projects within a new area of the field.
