Job Summary:  Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham has partnered with a local healthcare office in Bellingham to find a Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist to support their busy team. This is a temporary opportunity that starts right away and allows you to grow your skills in the medical industry. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications Include:

• Process health records
• Scan documents into the electronic health record (EHR) within 72 hours of receipt
• Track paper records for review or signature
• Archive and destroy paper records
• Track lab and imaging orders
• Update patient flowsheets
• Respond to medical and behavioral health records requests from both internal and external customers
• Manage departmental and organizational communication lines

• Maintain data integrity
