JOB SUMMARY:

As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide optimum periodontal/hygiene services and oral health education to Unity Care NW patients. You would provide traditional hygiene services such as scaling and root-planing. You may also provide sealants, screenings & radiographs, restorative fills, etc. You would be responsible for the setup and cleanup of dental rooms and charting.

?OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

  • An Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.
  • Two (2) years' experience work experience, especially in a community or public health setting (preferred)
  • Experience working with adults in underserved populations (preferred)
  • A current Washington State Dental Hygienist License with no actions taken
  • A current BLS certification
  • Ability to place and finish restorative materials and sealants.
  • General knowledge of basic dental policies & procedures and oral health issues, especially regarding oral hygiene.
  • General office skills such as computers (Dentrix and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word & Excel), faxes, telephones, and copy machines.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work load.
  • Ability to maintain an effective and positive professional working relationship with staff and patients at all times.
