Whatcom Community College Adjunct Faculty, Sports Management Instructor in BELLINGHAM, Washington

Whatcom Community College invites applications for a part-time, adjunct faculty position to teach the Introduction to Sports Management class in the PE discipline starting Winter quarter 2025. The College is seeking a dynamic individual interested in developing and engaging students, both inside and outside the classroom, and using innovative & inclusive curriculum and teaching methods - including the application of technology. The College seeks faculty who can work effectively and collaboratively with students, colleagues, staff, and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity and global understanding.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated professional experience and expertise teaching foundations in Sports Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Sports Management. 
  • Teaching experience in higher education.
  • Ability to inspire a diverse student population to learn and promote Sports Management.
  • Experience with instructional technology including Canvas (Learning Management System).
  • Actively contributes to a work environment that embraces diversity and uses diverse perspectives to enhance the attainment of the College's mission and vision.
Salary

Salary:

  • $5,899.00 for winter quarter. 

Benefit Package: 

  • Accrues a percentage of 7 hours (equal to the percentage of workload) per month of sick leave (ex. 50% quarterly employment contract x 7 hrs for full-time = 3.5 hrs per month for that quarter.)

Start Date

  • Winter Quarter 2025-January 8th, 2025.
